First Read This If You Have Not Already!!
Well...the power is on at my buddy's place in Safety Harbor, Florida. We will be leaving the La Quinta/Wyndham Hotel in Tallahassee early tomorrow morning headed back to the disaster area. I have been in contact with the VA and FEMA [spent six (6) hours on hold, etc. with FEMA today] and it will be 7-10 days more before I know anything!! I am still waiting on Progressive's settlement offer for "The MacDaddy", living expenses, etc.
When I get back, my immediate concerns are finding an Extended Living facility for at least thirty (30) days. I then plan on setting up permanent residence in an Independent Living Facility...most probably in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida close to my cousin Pam. That is NOT set in stone, but I will evaluate my alternatives while in Extended Stay.
Sun Retreats in Dunedin, Florida where "The MacDaddy" is located is still a MESS and it will be days before they have power and I can fully salvage my personal items, property, etc. that are NOT RUINED and get it towed away for disposal!
